Does Fitz really need to call players 'Turds?'

Good Morning.

So, I get to work and check Teddy G's twitter, and apparently, Fitz says that he's proud of his team for not being trouble makers, etc:

Fine, it's hard for me to argue anything when the AD says that Academics and Compliance are the focus. It would be laughable for me to hold a coach to winning as the standard for success. Silly me. But then came this....

".....I’m not going to recruit some chump star (who is a) turd. If you want to root for another team because they’re getting 25-star recruits, that’s fine."

Really, really man? So, you don't want to recruit high quality football players, fine. But, do you really need to call other star players turds? Wow, that is beyond pathetic and laughable.

This is EXACTLY why I call Pat F just damn arrogant and just plain self-righteous. If the purpose of D1 BCS football was to get high level academic students to play, well then, my goodness, why even recruit players, get good students and teach them football. When people attend a game, it is because they would like to see their team win. I thought NU fans were past the, "It's ok, you'll work for us someday logic." And, with a BETTER academic school in Stanford getting to BCS games, it makes Pat F's logic laughable.

I'm so done with a guy that calls other team's good players, "turds." That is a clip and save for any other coach to point to when recruiting against NU.
