SPONSORED POST: Vince Young was cool and stuff.

The second idea for a post about this Heisman stuff is another interesting topic: who in history has been snubbed for the Heisman?

I'd imagine many of you will say either Darnell Autry or Damien Anderson, both of whom finished top five in voting for the trophy, but, screw that, I'm going to write about something completely unrelated to Northwestern.

The earliest college football game I can vividly recall watching, as scary as it is for some of you to hear, is probably the 2006 Rose Bowl - yes, the same one that was a little under two years from the first Northwestern home game I attended. At the time, I was 15, and I didn't really know or care much about any college team. But watching Vince Young in that game against a team that had won 34 straight was an absolute vision, and one I'll remember for a long time.

The logical reason Young didn't win the Heisman that year is because his 276-yard passing, 200-yard rushing performance happened after Reggie Bush had already won the 2005 Heisman. Anybody who saw that game would've voted for Young, but as a postseason game, it didn't factor into the voting.

But Young's season, and really his entire year, was pretty ridiculously impressive of its own right, even before that national championship-winning performance. And for whatever reason - he had a nice car, I think? - Reggie Bush no longer has that trophy. I guess for me, the question is, why doesn't Vince Young have one instead of, you know, nobody? Basically, my point is, I love really strong fast quarterbacks, and Young as, well, that, and he deserves a trophy instead of just having to back up Ryan Fitzpatrick. (P.S. - what are those guys going to talk about?)

Who do you think got snubbed for the Heisman? TELL ME.
