Another day, another two players! Two more posts coming up later regarding some recently graduated Northwestern athletes, one of which is interesting and the other of which I'm about to write.

No. 31, Chris Gradone, RS Freshman, punter

Who he be: Chris is a walkon punter from St. Xavier in Cincinnati, home to three, um, not walk-on players at Northwestern, which must be awkward. He punts! He's never punted at Northwestern tho.

Looking forward: Brandon Williams is Northwestern's punter, so he's going to punt. Williams was once a walkon, tho, so, yeah!

No. 31, Quinn Evans, senior, cornerback

Who he be: Quinny is, as noted earlier on this here internet webpage, a transfer from Stanford, the lesser of two transfers from PAC-12 schools playing their first season at Northwestern this year. He'll be going to graduate school at Northwestern and eligible to play immediately. At Stanford, he started one game in his redshirt freshman season way back in 2009, but otherwise was a special-teamer and backup cornerback before missing his entire junior year due to injury. He is probably the 398th person to go to undergrad at Stanford and get a master's at Northwestern and the first ever to do it for football reasons both times. Seriously, dude's going to have a undergrad degree from Stanford and a master's from Northwestern and we're still going to be unaccomplished pissants.

Dope rhyme more rappers should use: Transferred/Stanford

Obligatory link to a pretty mediocre song hippies liked in the 1960's that Bob Dylan wrote while he was definitely high on something about an Anthony Quinn movie for an album he said he was half-assing it on:

Looking forward: The Modestly Mighty Quinn might be a factor in Northwestern's secondary. One might think that he'd be an immediate starter since he's coming from Stanford, which is better than Northwestern at football, and because Northwestern's cornerback depth chart looks like 1) Daniel Jones 2) Nick VanHoose 3) You being like WHO ARE THOSE GUYS, but I'm not so sure. First of all, it's not clear whether Quinn has recovered from the injury that kept him off the field last year - his player profile warns "if he's healthy". I'd imagine he works his way into the cornerback rotation, not sure he's a starter.
