Are you excited about the game? Yes, I know you are. Did you watch all 4 hours of Mike & Mike this morning like me? I hope so. Will you be at GameDay tomorrow? I know I will.

I hope you enjoyed all of my stats posts from earlier this week. But here's a bonus random stat because, well, why not add to the MEDIA APOCALYPSE surrounding this game.

Since 1995, Northwestern has faced the same head coach at 2 different schools twice (including this coming Saturday). Both times, NU was embarrassed to some extent in the initial meeting. The previous time, NU exacted revenge. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

In 2000, NU lost to Frank Solich's Nebraska team 66-17 in the Alamo Bowl. NU later saw Solich as head coach of Ohio in 2005, a comfortable 38-14 win at Ryan Field (NU also beat Ohio 16-8 in 2008).

This time, of course features Urban Meyer who came in 2001 leading Bowling Green and destroyed NU's remaining bowl hopes with a 43-42 comeback win, detailed here. Of course we all know what's coming on Saturday, and here's hoping NU exacts revenge once again.
