Around the Big Ten
-Wisconsin beat Purdue in very impressive fashion, sparked by Jordan Taylor's 23 points.
-Minnesota beat Ohio State behind 27 from Blake Hoffarber. Evan Turner's near triple double (19 pts, 8 rebs, 7 assists) wasn't enough.
-Michigan State cruised past Iowa despite 18 turnovers. Draymond Green was unstoppable for the Spartans with 14 pts and 11 rebounds in just 19 minutes.
-Mike Tisdale had another monster game with 27 points and 9 rebounds, and Illinois erased a 15 point deficit to win at Indiana. An F U goes out to the ref who didn't blow the whistle when Indiana was trying to foul in the final seconds down 6, as some of us picked Illinois -6.5 (and yes, I have a gambling problem.)
RPI Watch
-Notre Dame is proving me wrong and now looks like an NCAA tournament team after their win over #8 West Virginia yesterday. The Irish did everything in their power to blow a 20 point halftime lead, but hung on when a Da'Sean Butler three rolled around and out at the buzzer.
-NC State continues to lose games, this time to lowly Virginia at home. That was a game the Wolfpack badly needed as they now start a brutal 5 game stretch against the iron of the ACC.
-Iowa State escaped at home by 2 against 5-10 North Dakota State, and they open Big 12 play next by hosting unbeaten Texas. Doug Gottlieb predicted a Cyclone upset last night on ESPN's college basketball recap show, I have to say I'm very skeptical.
