Safety Terrance Brown Commits to Northwestern (Los Alamitos, Calif.)

What's recruiting? I was all focused on this football thing that was happening and not potential future NU football players, and this is really killing my vibe.

NU landed its 16th commitment and second at safety from Terrance Brown, a 6-foot-1, 195 pound California safety from Los Alamitos who literally defines under-the-radar. He doesn't have a profile on Rivals or Scout. Northwestern was his first offer and he committed literally on the spot after hearing he was given an offer.

So, it's not a crazy recruiting get like some of the ones you hear about, but that doesn't mean Brown will turn out to be a bad player. After all, the coaches aren't paid to pay attention to Rivals and Scout, they're supposed to go out and decide which players are going to fit at Northwestern, and generally do a good job. So, Terrance Brown it is. Would Pat Fitzgerald have had a Rivals or Scout page back in the day? Who knows. Whatever. I'm done. Football Saturday.
