Northwestern 64, Minnesota 53: Postgame Thread

John Shurna became Northwestern's all time leading scorer as Northwestern kept their NCAA tournament hopes alive by beating Minnesota.

Shurna broke Billy McKinney's 35 year old record with an NBA range bomb early in the second half, and he did lot more than just score in this one, adding 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks.

Dave Sobolewski led all scorers with 22, and JerShon Cobb provided a spark in his first start of the season with 4 steals at the top of the 1-3-1 zone. NU forced 21 turnovers for the game and were never really threatened in the second half.

This win sets up a huge game Tuesday at home against Michigan. I'm already nervous.
