Northwestern NCAA Tournament Bracketology Update, March 7, 2012

Every day, Sippin' on Purple will be taking an updated roundup and look at Northwestern's chances of making the NCAA Tournament. We promise not to jinx it.

Bracket matrix: 12.0, second-to-last team in (down two from yesterday, somehow)

Kenpom: 50 (same as yesterday)

RPI: 49 (same as yesterday)

Sagarin: 51 (down from 50 yesterday)

Big Ten standings: Seventh, guaranteed to play Minnesota in first round on Thursday (up from eighth on Friday)

In or out, consensus: in (barely)

Feeling: Anxious as all get out. Northwestern, as noted a billion times, needs a W tomorrow in Indy. Coverage of that will be happening today and tomorrow and yeah, basically, it all comes down to that. I'm excited to be headed out on the bus to Indy - hoping I can drink heavily on the bus without anybody noticing, and if they do notice, I'll remind them that I'm 21 and that it would be messed up for them to leave me in the middle of Indiana, so they might as well just let me keep going.

Bracketology roundup: Jerry Palm and Chris Dobbertean updated today, and have Northwestern in the same position they had yesterday.
