Let me take back what I said yesterday in my story about how Drake Dunsmore was getting a lot of late looks: Jeremy Ebert, who I said yesterday was kind of unlikely to get drafted, the more that I look at it, will probably get picked.
Ebert proved a lot of people wrong about his lack of speed by putting up a 4.38 40 time at Northwestern's pro day, and since then, his stock has risen. Todd McShay has him as a seventh-rounder, and Tony Pauline of SI.com and Russ Lande of the Sporting News each note that Ebert is a late riser. The New York Jets - J-E-T-S - brought in Ebert to work out.
So, suffice it to say, there's a chance Ebert hears his name called in the later rounds next Saturday, and here's my mea culpa for saying otherwise. Not a lock, but not out of the question. There. I said it. And furthermore, although Persa/Ebert/Dunsmore might not literally get drafted, there's a very high chance all of them show up in training camps somewhere, and a chance they stick. I mean, hey, Tyrell Sutton is on the Seahawks now, three years after leaving NU and not getting drafted. So there.
