- The biggest indication on the depth chart is that Northwestern will be without Sean McEvilly for the game against Wisconsin. McEvilly is NU's top defensive tackle, and considering how much the interior defensive line has struggled this year, McEvilly's absence will hurt against a very strong Wisconsin running game. Will Hampton becomes the official starter, though he has started the past two games in McEvilly's absence.
- There's no backup listed at Y receiver. Cermak Bland had the spot previously. It doesn't really make much of a difference — Bland hadn't seen the field much this year.
- Matt Harris is now a co-starter with Venric Mark and Stephen Buckley on kick returns. Harris has been NU's primary return man in Mark's absence.
