Good afternoon from Lincoln. It's a gorgeous day for football here, with a cloudless sky, 50-degree temperatures and just a little bit of wind, a lot like two years ago...
- Unlike two years ago, Taylor Martinez will not be the quarterback for the Huskers. Tommy Armstrong will take over for the Huskers' injured starter, and while fans love him, the freshman has yet to live up to his potential. Having Armstrong play over Martinez is big for NU.
- The Wildcats have three injured running backs, but Stephen Buckley and Treyvon Green are both very capable backs. Look for NU to run the ball a lot against a terrible Nebraska run defense.
- Speaking of that defense, the Huskers are shaking things up at linebacker. They've rotated them a lot this year and David Santos is moving from MIKE to WILL for this game (at least, that's what Bo Pelini indicated earlier in the week). It will be interesting to see what the Huskers do there. NU should be able to take advantage.
- NU is going with white jerseys, white pants and purple helmets. That's a first this year, I believe.
