Northwestern vs. UCLA basketball game thread

Ohhhhhhhhh UCLA is going to score a whole ton of points aren't they.

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sp

Northwestern plays UCLA!

That's cool because it's Northwestern playing a really good team, which typically hasn't happened in Northwestern's non-conference schedule unless by force, but it's kind of not cool because UCLA is way, way, way, way, better than Northwestern. Got a Kenpom win probability of 19 percent here.

Jordan Adams is probably the best player NU has played against thus far when you take both sides of the floor into effect -- dude's got the No. 1 steal rate in the nation! -- and UCLA ain't exactly lacking for depth. They've scored 100-plus in back-to-back games, and while Northwestern has been modestly solid at defense, there is very little imaginable way where the Wildcats put up as many points as UCLA.

And, um, Drew Crawford is hurt and stuff, so... yeah.

So, expect bad things. This game is also at 10:30 p.m. on a Friday night when everybody is back in your hometown and you want to hang out with them. But if you're hanging out on ESPNU, see you here!

On the plus side, UCLA has a player named "Wanaah Ball," which is spectacular.
