After safety Jordan Thomas flipped his commitment from Northwestern to Oklahoma, the Wildcats have been on a mission to fill their last spot in the 2014 class. Initially, it looked like former Vanderbilt commit Kameron Uter was the top target. However, he committed to Wake Forest on on Thursday, forcing the Wildcats to look elsewhere.
The next name on the board is Xavier Washington. Washington, a two-star weakside defensive end from Texas, recently received an NU offer, and according to 247sports, he plans to take an official visit to Evanston on Saturday, Jan. 31. Signing day is on Wednesday, so we should know Washington's decision either way very soon. Today, two 247 experts predicted Washington will choose NU.
In addition to Northwestern, Washington has offers from North Texas, Air Force and Houston. He visited North Texas last weekend.
