So Northwestern lost again like we all expected. The first half was pretty close because Drew Crawford balled out and MIchigan missed a bunch of threes. Then Crawford struggled in the second half and Michigan played up to their capabilities, so Michigan won easily. KenPom's computer projected NU's putrid offense to score .885 points per possession, and they didn't even manage that, coming in at 0.836. The offense is heading into territory previously only familiar to Kevin O'Neill coached teams.
Alex Olah had a decent game with 12 points and hopefully can keep playing well and building his confidence. Not really sure what else there is to say. Dave Sobolewski played most of the game, was held scoreless, and got abused on defense by whoever he attempted to guard. Sanjay Lumplin missed two wide open layups, one that would have cut the deficit to four early in the second half. JerShon Cobb struggled and looks like he still hasn't recovered from the ankle he sprained earlier this year. Tre Demps shot 2 for 10 and chucked up some terrible shots.
Next up Northwestern travels to Iowa, and if they keep the final score within 20 it will be a minor miracle
