Maybe hope for not the Zaxby's Bowl?

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Northwestern still has two win its final two games against Purdue and Illinois to make a bowl game, but after the win at Notre Dame, the Wildcats are far more likely to finish at 6-6 and make the postseason than they were before. While it won't be a great bowl, getting postseason practices will be extremely important for the development of the Wildcats' young players. Even if it means that NU has to play a Conference USA team in Dallas. Here's where the nation sees NU going:

Jason Kirk, SB Nation: Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl vs. Rice

Stewart Mandel, Fox Sports: Cactus Bowl vs. Washington

Phil Steele: Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl vs. Rice

Bill Bender, The Sporting News: Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs. Temple

Jim Tomlin, Tampa Bay Times: Cactus Bowl vs. Stanford

Brett McMurphy, ESPN: Hawaii Bowl vs. Middle Tennessee

Erick Smith, USA Today: Texas Bowl vs. Texas A&M
