Northwestern picked up its third commitment this week, and this one could be the most highly-anticipated yet. Three-star running back John Moten chose the Wildcats over Boston College, Illinois, Purdue and his home state Missouri Tigers.
At 6-feet, 188 pounds, Moten reports having run a 4.4-second 40-yard dash. He rushed for 1,683 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior, and he ranks as the ninth best player from Missouri in the 2015 class.
Moten talked to Steve Wiltfong of 247 after committing:
"I want to be able to compete with good athletes and I also want to be a student-athlete, and Northwestern has a great APR rating," Moten said. "It's a great school, they're ranked top-15 in the nation. I really feel comfortable around the players and coaches and I felt like it was a good fit for me."
