Northwestern picked up its fourth commitment this week with the addition of three-star guard Jared Thomas. A native of Indianapolis, Thomas has been one of NU's top offensive line targets for awhile, and he chose the Wildcats over Illinois, Duke, Syracuse, Purdue and Indiana, among others.

247 Sports' Steve Wiltfong spoke to Thomas about his decision:
"The football team plays in one of the best conferences in college football," Thomas said of Northwestern. "The academics set me up for what I want to do after football.
"And on top of all that, it's only a three-hour drive from home."
Thomas ranks as the 33rd-best offensive guard in the country by 247 Sports and the seventh-best player in Indiana. NU now has 16 commits in the class of 2015, and for the time being, the Wildcats have the 16th-best class in the country and the second-best class in the Big Ten, according to the 247 Sports composite ratings.
