After starting the season with a loss to California, Northwestern hosts the Northern Illinois Huskies on at 2:30 p.m. CT on BTN. The class of the MAC, NIU has been one of the most consistently dominant programs in the nation over the past few seasons. But the program will have to find a new face in 2014 after the graduation of quarterback and Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch.
In the Huskies' week one win, they led the country in plays with 109 as the high-powered offense racked up 424 rushing yards over Presbytarian. Part of the rushing attack will be quarterback Matt McIntosh who won the quarterback competition over Drew Hare.
As far as Northwestern is concerned, the Wildcats are out to prove that last week was an anomaly and they enter with some question marks on the offensive side of the ball. Tony Jones, who led Northwestern in receiving last week, is out, potentially handicapping quarterback Trevor Siemian's weapons.
It's a beautiful day in Evanston, but if you're at home watching the game come join in on the fun, we'll be here all game.
