Week 7 Injury Report vs. Iowa: Carr, Harris headline those to miss game

This is the longest injury report this year.

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

After remaining relatively healthy throughout the first half of the season, there are some injuries mounting on this Northwestern team, and they are starting to hit some key areas.

This weekend against Iowa, the Wildcats will be without the services of the following:

WR Austin Carr

DB Matt Harris

OL Adam DePietro

WR Flynn Nagel

DB Kyle Queiro

LB Tommy Vitale (out for the year, will not be listed moving forward)

Harris suffered a scary-looking injury last week in Ann Arbor, and after exiting on a stretcher, he turned out to have several broken bones in his face.

Also missing the game is Austin Carr, who came out of the Michigan game "banged up" according to Pat Fitzgerald. He missed practice this week, but his status was deemed up in the air. Without him in the lineup, Cameron Dickerson, graduate transfer Garrett Kidd and Jelani Roberts may see more time, according to the depth chart.

The Wildcats will also be missing Adam DePietro, who has been out since getting injured against Eastern Illinois. Joining him on the report is Flynn Nagel, who had a lower-body injury against Minnesota, and Kyle Queiro, who is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a broken arm. Finally, Tommy Vitale, who saw time at linebacker and superback, is out for the year with a lower body injury.
