Ivanauskas was Northwestern's first verbal commitment in the class of 2016 when he chose the Wildcats in April. He also had offers from Creighton, Iowa and Purdue, per 247 Sports, but had been on the rise and drawing interest from high profile schools, such as Wisconsin, Indiana, Kansas, Notre Dame and others, at the time of his commitment.
Ivanasukas, a 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward who could play either the three or the four, is rated as a four-star recruit by 247 Sports. ESPN has Ivanauskas as a three-star prospect, but Rivals also has him as a four-star prospect, and ranked him among the top 100 players in his class at No. 89.
Ivanauskas spent his first three years of high school Barrington High School in the Chicago area, but this summer chose to transfer to Brewster Academy, a prep school in New Hampshire, for his senior year.
Back in April, our Zach Pereles explained what Ivanauskas meant to Northwestern.
Center Barret Benson also signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Guard Isiah Brown is expected to join Benson and Ivanauskas in the afternoon.
