Northwestern injury report: Clayton Thorson healthy, Geoff Mogus out vs. Purdue

Caylor Arnold-USA TODAY Sports

Northwestern starting quarterback Clayton Thorson is healthy and not listed on the Wildcats' injury report for their Week 11 game vs. Purdue.

Thorson was injured in Saturday's win over Penn State, but will presumably start against the Boilermakers. Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald confirmed on Monday that he expected Thorson to play.

The Wildcats will be without senior offensive lineman Geoff Mogus though. Mogus started the season at tackle but then moved back to guard, where he started against the Nittany Lions. His absence will pave the way for Shane Mertz to start.

Safety Kyle Queiro remains out for Northwestern, but has not been ruled out for the season. Queiro broke his arm against Ball State in September.

UPDATE: Linebacker Jaylen Prater, who was injured against Penn State, is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
