Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian to backup Brock Osweiler


Former Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian will be the second-string quarterback for the Denver Broncos when they play the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Nov. 22, Ian Rapoport of reported Monday. The rookie will backup Brock Osweiler in his return to Chicago, as starter Peyton Manning will not play due to a torn plantar fascia in his left foot. Siemian, a seventh-round draft pick, had been the third-string quarterback throughout the season. He has yet to play a regular season down.
