Northwestern basketball vs. New Orleans: Start time, TV coverage, how to watch online, preview

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Following the football team's game at Soldier Field against Illinois, the Northwestern men's basketball team will host New Orleans at Welsh-Ryan Arena at 7 p.m. The Privateers are 2-2 on the young season with an 18- and 20-point loss to Bowling Green and Duquesne, respectively. But, New Orleans has won two-straight: a 94-57 win over Pensacola Christian College and a 64-51 win against Bradley. Also, head coach Mark Slessinger and his team have been in the Chicago-area this week, dining at some fine institutions, including Chicago's own Portillos:

The Wildcats come into the game having posted a pretty good showing in Kansas City. Their 11-point loss to North Carolina was impressive, but Missouri's ability to claw its way back into the game against Northwestern was concerning. After Northwestern plays New Orleans, the Wildcats will travel to Blacksburg, Virginia to take on Virginia Tech in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
