Northwestern basketball receives votes in Week 4 AP Poll

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Northwestern men's basketball team received two votes Week 4 AP Poll. It is the first time this season, and the first time in Chris Collins' tenure, that Northwestern has even received a vote in the two major polls -- the AP and Coaches.

The Wildcats are 5-1 on the year, with victories over UMass-Lowell, Fairfield, Columbia (in overtime), Missouri and New Orleans. The team's lone loss came against North Carolina, a game in which Northwestern played well, leading for vast portions of the first half, before falling by 11.

Northwestern travels to Virginia Tech on Tuesday night as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
