Northwestern men's basketball received seven votes in the Week 6 Coaches Poll and three votes in the Week 6 AP Poll, both of which were released Monday.
After receiving two votes in the AP Poll for two straight weeks and none in the Coaches Poll, Northwestern is now effectively ranked 41st in the Coaches Poll and 40th in the AP Poll.
Northwestern had a week off for final exams, but returned to the court Sunday night and beat a completely overmatched Chicago State team, 77-35. The Wildcats are now 8-1, and should go to 9-1 if they can beat Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday.
