With a chance to sit alone as the only team in program history to win 11 games in a season, No. 13 Northwestern (10-2, 6-2 Big Ten) squares off with No. 23 Tennessee (8-4, 5-3 SEC) on Friday in the 30th anniversary of the Outback Bowl. The two programs come to Tampa hot off five-game win streaks to finish the regular season.
For those in Tampa, the festivities begin on New Year's Day at 9 a.m. with the Public Pre-Game Bowl Bash, located just south of Raymond James Stadium between gates C and D.
For those not in Tampa, enjoy the couch, cook yourself some breakfast and watch what is slated to be a great day of college football. During the Outback Bowl commercials, have the clicker handy to flip over to Ohio State vs. Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on ESPN or Michigan vs. Florida in the Citrus Bowl on ABC, both begin at 12 p.m. CT.
