It was the first day of spring practice today, and all three quarterbacks competing for the starting job addressed the media. Here's what they had to say, along with some other notes.
Zack Oliver and Clayton Thorson decided to address the media together.
Matt Alviti says that he's just trying to be himself during the quarterback competition.
Here are some more notes from the videos, plus some notes from Fitz.
Question about competition being American and helping the QBs and Fitz says "it works." Liked what he saw from QBs today.

Most media not allowed to watch practice so we have no insight, but @TeddyGreenstein saw some he said Alviti looked really "crisp."

Alviti said he's watched a lot of film (2 hours a day this offseason) and studied the playbook more. Didn't prep enough last year.

Oliver and Thorson addressing the media together. Alviti would too but he has class. Wanna show they're in it together and friends.

Oliver keeps his Illinois parking permit in his car to remind him that he played poorly in that game. "Staring at me every day."

Oliver says Thorson is faster than him and has a stronger arm than Alviti.

Thorson has been in this position before. His junior year of high school he beat out a returning senior and they split time at QB and WR.
