Mike Kafka signs with Minnesota Vikings

Former Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka has signed with the Minnesota Vikings, according to his Twitter feed and other reports.

Kafka was a fourth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010 and played there for two seasons, before moving to the New England Patriots' and Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squads. He spent last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kafka was a prolific passer at Northwestern and led the Wildcats to the Outback Bowl during his sole season as a full-time starter. He was named second team All-Big Ten.
