Shortly after the 2015 NFL Draft concluded, Chi Chi Ariguzo agreed to a deal with the Chargers, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. He'll head to San Diego as an undrafted free agent.
Northwestern LB Chi Chi Ariguzo expected to join #Chargers as a UDFA
— Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) May 2, 2015
Ariguzo was a three-year starter in Evanston with excellent natural instincts and tackling ability. He has a high football IQ and eclipsed 100 tackles in each of his past two seasons, ending his Northwestern career with 333 career tackles. He also added seven sacks and 24.5 tackles for loss in his time as a Wildcat. Finally, Ariguzo packs a punch on his tackles and bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times.
His main weakness is his lack of athleticism. Ariguzo ran only a 4.73 in his 40-yard dash, and his lateral movement is also not the best, so he struggles in coverage.
