Tommy Carnifax, a three-star defensive end from Warren, Oh., has committed to Northwestern, per a report from 247Sports' Chris Emma.

Carnifax chose NU over offers from Maryland, Duke, Wisconsin and Kentucky. He also had offers from Iowa, Cincinnati and Purdue.
Carnifax also played on the offensive side of the ball in high school as a tight end, but is expected to play defense in college.
He is Northwestern's third defensive front seven commit in the class of 2016, after defensive lineman Alex Miller and linebacker Jango Glackin. Here are his highlights, courtesy of Hudl:
