Rivals: 2016 DB commit Roderick Campbell Jr. listed as four-star recruit
Roderick Campbell Jr., who committed to Northwestern over Notre Dame, Iowa, Arizona State, Kentucky, Duke and Illinois in late April, has been upgraded to a four-star prospect by Rivals. The St. Louis native won defensive back MVP at a recent recruiting camp in the area and comes in as No. 239 in the Rivals ranking of the top 250 high school prospects in the country. He continues a streak of talented defensive back prospects coming to Northwestern. Josh Helmholdt, a Rivals Midwest Recruiting Analyst, writes: "Campbell won the St. Louis Rivals Camp Series defensive back MVP award in a tight battle within a deep position group. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback has long arms and plays with great length at the position. He shows an outstanding break on the football and great change of direction."
