Northwestern football betting lines: Early Vegas update

Northwestern is a favorite in only one of its first four games against FBS opponents, but has better Big Ten odds than Illinois, Rutgers and Maryland.

There are now less than 10 weeks to go until Northwestern kicks off its 2015 season against Stanford on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Ryan Field, but even before spring turned to summer, the college football activity in Las Vegas — and all over the internet — had already begun. Some Vegas and offshore sportsbooks have already posted betting odds for the 2015 season, from win total over/unders to individual game odds and more.

Here are some early odds:

Win totals

CG Technology:

The first Nevada sportsbook to release win total over/unders for 2015, CG Technology set the over/under for Northwestern regular season wins at 6, with the over at -140. That means the over is more likely — you must bet $140 on the over to win $100.

5Dimes:

European online sportsbook 5Dimes has set the over/under for Northwestern regular season wins at 6.5, with the under at -150. That means you must bet $150 on the under to win $100.

Individual game lines

5Dimes has released lines for Northwestern's first four games against FBS opponents:

Stanford (-13) at Northwestern
Northwestern at Duke (-4)
Ball State at Northwestern (-14)
Minnesota (PK) at Northwestern

Big Ten title odds

5Dimes:
