Northwestern picked up its sixth commit in three days Tuesday morning with the addition of future all-name team superstar Jango Glackin. Yes ... JANGO GLACKIN! As it turns out, the 6-foot-2 outside linebacker is a pretty good football player, as well.
Glackin is from Lebanon, Ohio, but plays his high school football at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He's a three-star recruit and chose the Wildcats over offers from Wisconsin, West Virginia, Indiana and others. He's also received interest from Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State — he recently got a visit from Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell, according to 247 Sports — so his recruitment is probably far from over. That said, he's a very good pickup, and with a composite rating of .8563, he's the second best commit in NU's class of 2016.
The Wildcats now have 11 2016 commits and rank 28th nationally, seventh in the Big Ten. Check out Glackin's highlights below.
