Bowl projection roundup: Not much change after Week 2

Caylor Arnold-USA TODAY Sports

Northwestern is now 2-0. And while the 41-0 stomping of Eastern Illinois didn't tell us much about this Wildcats team, it was another win. Northwestern is now just four wins away from bowl eligibility, a far cry from where it was last year at this time, and it should be just three wins away by the time conference season rolls around.

It doesn't seem as if many Wildcats fans are looking too far into the future. But members of the national media always do just that. Bowl projections are a weekly exercise, even after Week 2 (and even after Week 1).

Here's where the experts have Northwestern heading after the 2-0 start:

SB Nation

Jason Kirk: Pinstripe Bowl vs. Louisville, Dec. 26

Mark Schlabach: Outback Bowl vs. Tennessee, Jan. 1

Brett McMurphy: Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl vs. Georgia, Jan. 1

Brian Bennett: Foster Farms Bowl, Dec. 26

CBS Sports

Jerry Palm: Pinstripe Bowl vs. Virginia Tech, Dec. 26
