Miller, a 6-foot-3, 260-pound high school junior, is the younger brother of class-of-2016 Northwestern commit Alex Miller. Per 247 Sports, Alex is the lowest-rated player in Northwestern's 2016 class.
Sam Miller chose Northwestern over offers from Indiana, Texas Tech, Colorado State, SMU, UCF and North Texas.
Miller is listed as a defensive end by Rivals and ESPN, but as a defensive tackle by 247 Sports. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports and Rivals, as well as by ESPN, but as a four-start prospect by 247's composite score. He's the No. 20 defensive tackle in his class, per the composite score, and the 282nd-ranked player in the class overall.
