Northwestern football bowl projections, Week 7

Things are looking up after a big win over Michigan State.

Northwestern is right back into the thick of things as far as the bowl picture is concerned. After two big conference road wins, the Wildcats sit at 3-3 halfway through their season and have a bevy of winnable games down the stretch run.

A record of 6-6 would certainly put the Wildcats into postseason play, and 5-7 might also do the trick depending on if there aren’t enough 6-6 teams to go. The bowl selection committee then turns to APR score. APR stands for Academic Progress Rate, and it’s not as if there are a lot of teams that are going to place higher than Northwestern.
