Week 9 Injury Report: Trae Williams out

It’ll be up to Marcus McShepard to fill the void.

NCAA Football: Northwestern at Michigan State Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

Northwestern will once again be without a key defensive back this week in Columbus versus Ohio State as cornerback Trae Williams has been ruled out, per the program.

Williams has played alongside Montre Hartage for a significant amount of this season but has missed the Indiana game. A native of The Plains, Ohio, Williams will not be able to play in his homecoming game, leaving Marcus McShepard in his stead.

It’s not all bad news for the Wildcats, though. Alonzo Mayo, who left the Indiana game early, seems to be available, as is senior captain offensive lineman Connor Mahoney.
