Northwestern bowl projections roundup, Week 6 edition

Things are, finally, looking up for the Wildcats.

NCAA Football: Northwestern at Iowa Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

At 1-3 after the loss to Nebraska, Northwestern’s bowl hopes were on life support. The Wildcats were staring a brutal month of October in the face and could have easily gone into November without a Big Ten win.

Then, come last Saturday, Northwestern took down Iowa in Kinnick Stadium. Suddenly, the atmosphere around the team suddenly feels a bit more positive. Now, heading into the bye week, the Wildcats’ road to six (or just five) wins seems a lot more reasonable now than it did a couple of days ago.
