College football Week 6 schedule and gamethread

A ton of great games are on the docket while NU takes a break.

Even though Northwestern doesn’t play in Week 6, there are plenty of intriguing matchups during the Wildcats’ bye week.

There’s no shortage of good games. Focusing on the Big Ten, though, Northwestern’s next opponent, Michigan St., faces BYU in a non-conference game, and we’ll be sure to keep our eyes on that one. Last week’s opponent, Iowa, heads to the Twin Cities to take on Minnesota, and Indiana puts its undefeated record on the line vs. Ohio St. The same goes for Maryland, which heads to Happy Valley for its first legitimate test versus a Penn State team coming off a big win over Minnesota. College Football Gameday is in College Station for a huge SEC matchup between two undefeateds: No. 8 Texas A&M and No. 9 Tennessee, which will be without star running back Jalen Hurd.
