Chris Collins and company officially begin their 2016-2017 season with a non-conference home game against Mississippi Valley State.

Mainstays Bryant McIntosh, Vic Law, Sanjay Lumpkin, and Aaron Falzon are looking to lead a young Northwestern team to a strong start. Games like this are the perfect opportunity to see what freshmen like Barret Benson and Isaiah Brown are made of, as well as allowing Jordan Ash, Derek Pardon, and Scottie Lindsey to make their case for a starting spot.

Mississippi Valley State, out of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, is led by senior shooting guard Marcus Romain, who led the Delta Devils with 18.6 points per game last year.
