The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the most outstanding receiver in college football regardless of position, and Carr has been nothing short of outstanding. The senior leads the Big Ten in receptions (75), receiving yards (1,102), yards per game (110.2), and touchdowns (12). Nationally, he is sixth in touchdowns, ninth in yards and receptions per game, and tenth in yards per game.
Carr’s tremendous season has him in position to set Northwestern receiving records. He has already tied the Wildcats single-season record of 12 touchdowns and is 144 yards away from setting the single-season receiving yards mark. He’s the only receiver in the country to notch at least five receptions and 73 yards in every game this season, and the only one to have 100 yards at least six times.
The Biletnikoff Award includes a Fan Vote, and the aggregate total is counted as one official vote to help determine the semifinalists, finalists and winner of the award.
