Northwestern vs. Notre Dame GameThread

The Legends Classic title is up for grabs.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The last time Northwestern played Notre Dame in November, the Wildcats stunned the Irish on the gridiron with a 43-40 win in South Bend on the strength of a Jack Mitchell overtime field goal.

On Tuesday, the Wildcats (3-1) -- a day after blowing out Texas 77-59 in the Legends Classic at Brooklyn's Barclays Center -- will meet up with Notre Dame (4-0), who beat Colorado on Monday to reach the tournament championship, with another victory in mind.

There is a lot of familiarity between Northwestern and Notre Dame, starting with the coaches. Mike Brey was an assistant at Duke for three of the seasons Chris Collins played for Blue Devils. So, this game will probably have a little more kick to it than most November preseason tournament championships.

Follow along with us below as Northwestern tries to upset the Fighting Irish and take home a trophy. The game, starting at 5:00 PM CST, will be televised on ESPN2.
