Northwestern vs. Bryant GameThread

After impressing at the Legends Classic, Northwestern takes on Bryant at Welsh-Ryan.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

After three tough road/neutral site tests against Butler, Texas and Notre Dame, Northwestern (3-2) returns to Evanston to face off against the Bryant Bulldogs (2-3).

At the Legends Classic in Brooklyn, Northwestern took down Texas, 77-58 before they lost to Notre Dame, 70-66, in the final. Scottie Lindsey and Nathan Taphorn will look to continue their hot shooting—Lindsey is at 45.5 percent from downtown on the year, and Taphorn was 4-for-5 from three against Notre Dame. The Wildcats, however, will be led by Vic Law and Bryant McIntosh, both of whom struggled at times in Brooklyn (McIntosh was 3-for-18 from the field against the Irish, and Law fell into foul trouble against Texas. But at 3-2, with wins and close losses against quality teams, Northwestern comes into today's clash on a good note.

Bryant enters Evanston at 2-3, fresh off a home win over Louisiana-Monroe. The Bulldogs also played Notre Dame this season, losing 89-64 in South Bend. They are led by sophomore Nisre Zouzoua, who has scored 21.2 points per game this season.
