Northwestern vs. Wisconsin Week 10 Injury Report

The Wildcats will be without a senior leader but get back a key part of the secondary.

Senior outside linebacker Jaylen Prater is officially out this weekend versus Wisconsin after suffering an injury against Ohio State last weekend.

Prater, 6-foot, 230 pounder our of Hamden, Ohio, has 61 tackles this year, second most on the team behind Godwin Igwebuike’s 69 tackles. Prater has been a solid presence throughout the season in the linebacking corps after coming back from a knee injury that ended his season last year.

Nate Hall, Joe Jones and Brett Walsh will all see a more expanded role in Prater’s absence. Both Hall and Jones have been impressive over the past few weeks, and Walsh has been solid in a backup role, too.

The good news for the Wildcats is that Trae Williams is not listed on the injury report, meaning the redshirt freshman should be ready to return to action this weekend after missing Ohio State. Williams is listed behind Marcus McShepard on this week’s depth chart but should see the field a lot.
