Northwestern NFL recap Week 9

Tough luck for Trevor and others this week

NFL: Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Here’s what all the former Wildcats did in Week 9 in NFL action:

Dan Vitale, Browns

Not all was lost this weekend for the Browns because they STARTED Dan Vitale! The fullback played on six snaps (14 percent) on offense and seven snaps (29 percent) on special teams. He did not record a stat and the Browns lost 35-10 to the Cowboys

Ibraheim Campbell, Browns

Campbell was busy in the Cleveland loss, making six tackles total — three individual and three assisted. Poor Cleveland.

Dean Lowry, Packers

The Packers suffered a 31-26 loss versus Indianapolis, and Dean Lowry only played on five defensive snaps. The Green Bay staff has no clue what it’s missing out on.

Zach Strief, Saints

In a shocking development, Strief played every single down for the Saints in their big 41-23 win over San Francisco. He’s on his way to a Pro Bowl trip if he continues to play this well.

Corbin Bryant, Bills

Bryant’s Bills lost a close one in Seattle on Monday Night Football. He was inactive. Clearly his absence was an issue.

Trevor Siemian, Broncos

It was a rough week for Trevor, though his final stat line ended up being OK: 18/37, 283 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, one fumble. He struggled for most of the game, but so too did his teammates, especially up front and, in turn, the running backs committee. He’ll have to wipe this performance quickly because the Broncos play the high-powered Saints next week.
