Pitt offensive coordinator Matt Canada has been hired to the same position at LSU, Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated reported this morning.

Canada will stay with Pitt through the Pinstripe Bowl, however, on Dec. 28 against Northwestern.

The Panthers finished 42nd in total offense this year and were extremely efficient in the red zone, finishing tenth in scoring offense. Led by quarterback Nathan Peterman, running back James Conner (who just declared for the NFL Draft early) and wide receiver Quadree Henderson, the Panthers also have the No. 4 offense in the nation per S&P+.
