Northwestern receives five votes in the AP Poll

A week after making its debut in the AP Poll by receiving four votes, Northwestern added another vote to its tally, giving it five votes this week, good for 33rd in the nation.

There are currently five Big Ten teams ahead of the Wildcats: Wisconsin (14), Purdue (15) and Indiana (16) were the only teams to crack the Top 25, but Maryland received 40 votes and Minnesota received eight.
