Pound The Talk podcast: Northwestern basketball review, Purdue preview, NIT/CBI/Vegas 16

New, comments

Which unimportant/maybe important postseason tournament will Northwestern basketball play in, if any?

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Henry Bushnell and Ben Goren are joined by Kevin Dukovic —€” who makes his first appearance on Pound The Talk since last year €— to talk Northwestern basketball. After a quick review of the Ohio State and Illinois games, the guys talk Scottie Lindsey and lineup fluctuation. Then it's onto a preview of Purdue, whom the Wildcats face Tuesday night. What is the formula for a win?

Then it's on to postseason talk. What does Northwestern need to do to make the NIT? Would it actually be beneficial to finish 11th in the Big Ten rather than 10th? If Northwestern doesn't make the NIT, should it accept a bid to the CBI? There's also this new Tournament, the Vegas 16, that sounds intriguing. Is that a possibility?

We had some technical difficulties with our microphone, so apologies for the sound quality. Hopefully it doesn't take a fire hose to our scorching hot takes.
