Former Northwestern superback Dan Vitale clocked an impressive 4.6 official 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine on Friday. The fullback-to-be ran a 4.61 in his first attempt. His full results from the day can be found here.
Here is video of his first run:
Vitale's times were better than that of top-rated fullback Glenn Gronkowski of Kansas State, who topped out at 4.70 unofficially. It was also better than fellow fulback Soma Vainuku of USC, who ran 4.67 in his first attempt.
On Thursday, Vitale managed to complete 30 bench press reps of 225 pounds, the most in his position group.
