This is the third consecutive year that Coffey has been named to first team. Coffey averaged 19.7 points per game and also led the Big Ten in rebounding with 10.0 rebounds per game. She also averaged 1.9 blocks per game.
Coffey was Northwestern's only representative on either of the first two All-Big Ten teams. Junior point guard Ashley Deary, however, was named the Big Ten's defensive player of the year.
Senior forward Maggie Lyon was named honorable mention by both coaches and media. Ashley Deary was named honorable mention by the media.
Northwestern's season was largely disappointing. After being ranked for much of nonconference play, the Wildcats slumped to a 4-14 Big Ten record.
